L/RGB image of galaxy M66 in Leo, made from images taken by Al
Kelly with a Starlight Express MX916 and a C8 @ f5 on 4/25/03
from Friendswood, Texas, using Schuler RGcBc filters. Six
600-second unfiltered subexposures, two 600-second subexposures
in red, two 600-second subexposures in green, and two 600-second
subexposures in blue were self-guided in Astroart and processed
in AIP4WIN.
L/RGB image of neighboring spiral galaxy M33 in Triangulum, made
from images taken by Al Kelly with a Starlight Express MX916 and
a C8 @ f5 on 1/4/03 from Friendswood, Texas. Seven 600-second
unfiltered subexposures, three 600-second subexposures in red,
two 600-second subexposures in green, and three 600-second
subexposures in blue were self-guided in Astroart and processed
in AIP4WIN.
L/RGB image of faint galaxy NGC 925 in Triangulum, made from
images taken by Al Kelly on 10/19/01 with a Starlight Express
MX916 and a 17.5" f4.5 Newtonian from Johnson City, Texas.
Seven 240-second low-res unfiltered subexposures, three
240-second low-res subexposures in red, three 240-second low-res
subexposures in green, and three 240-second low-res subexposures

L/RGB color composite of "Nose Of Leo" galaxy NGC 2903
by Al Kelly from filtered images taken by Arne Henden of the US
Naval Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ with the USNO 1.55- meter
telescope. Arne made the images on May 20-24, 2004 using BVR
filters. Al composited B=blue, V=green, and R=red and created the
luminance layer from a stack of all images.
L/CMY color composite, hydrogen alpha (Ha -- 6563 angstroms)
image, and overlay comparison image of galaxy NGC 2903 in Leo,
processed by Al Kelly from Ha-filtered and continuum-filtered
exposures taken by Arne Henden of the US Naval Observatory in
Flagstaff, AZ and CMY-filtered integrations taken by Al Kelly at
Ft. McKavett, TX. Arne made 2 images, one with an Ha filter and
one filtered for a nearby continuum region, using the 1.0-meter
USNO telescope and a 1024x1024 SITe-chip CCD camera. The CMY
images were made with an 8" SCT and a Cookbook 245 CCD
camera. Arne's images were summed and processed to create the
luminance layer for the L/CMY composite and were used to create
the difference image for the Ha representation.
