A total of almost 13 hours of images were made unfiltered for luminance. For chrominance, 4 hours were B-filtered, 2 hours V-filtered, and 1.5 hours R-filtered. All processing was done in AIP4WIN. Cooperative WRGB image of the galaxy M82 by Stan Moore, Benoit Schillings, and Al Kelly. The primary (luminance) image was made by Stan, using an 8.2" f12.4 Cassegrain and an SBIG ST-7e CCD camera with AO-7 adaptive optics. Benoit provided deconvolution processing using custom software under BeOS. Al acquired the RGB color image data using a 17.5" f4.5 Newtonian and a CB245 CCD camera.

MRGB composite of disrupted galaxy M82 made from images taken by Al Kelly on 6/8/96 (no filter) with CB245 and 32" f4 Newtonian and on 2/4/97 (RGBs) with CB245 and 17.5" f4.5 Newtonian. The unfiltered image was a stacked total of three minutes. The red, green and blue exposures were stacked totals of 4 minutes, 10 minutes, and 16 minutes, respectively.


MRGB of face-on galaxy NGC 6814 taken by Al Kelly, Danny Siner, and Ed Grafton on 8/23/97 with CB245 and 32" f4 Newtonian from Danciger, Texas. The red, green and blue exposures were stacked totals of 5 minutes, 10 minutes, and 6 minutes, respectively.


MRGB of edge-on galaxy NGC 5907 taken on 6/28/97 by Al Kelly with CB245 and 32" f4 Newtonian from Danciger, Texas. This is the first image made with the scope working on the ALT-AZ-FP system designed by ANDY SAULIETIS. The red, green and blue exposures were stacked totals of 4.5 minutes, 9 minutes, and 9.5 minutes, respectively.

Seven 240-second low-res unfiltered subexposures, three 240-second low-res subexposures in red, three 240-second low-res subexposures in green, and three 240-second low-res subexposures in blue were acquired in Astroart and processed in AIP4WIN.


L/RGB color composite of "Nose Of Leo" galaxy NGC 2903 by Al Kelly from filtered images taken by Arne Henden of the US Naval Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ with the USNO 1.55- meter telescope. Arne made the images on May 20-24, 2004 using BVR filters. Al composited B=blue, V=green, and R=red and created the luminance layer from a stack of all images.


L/CMY color composite, hydrogen alpha (Ha -- 6563 angstroms) image, and overlay comparison image of galaxy NGC 2903 in Leo, processed by Al Kelly from Ha-filtered and continuum-filtered exposures taken by Arne Henden of the US Naval Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ and CMY-filtered integrations taken by Al Kelly at Ft. McKavett, TX. Arne made 2 images, one with an Ha filter and one filtered for a nearby continuum region, using the 1.0-meter USNO telescope and a 1024x1024 SITe-chip CCD camera. The CMY images were made with an 8" SCT and a Cookbook 245 CCD camera. Arne's images were summed and processed to create the luminance layer for the L/CMY composite and were used to create the difference image for the Ha representation.
